Service

Build your own overseas supply, without carrying the risk

Most of our customers simply buy finished parts from us. This service is for the ones who would rather own the supplier relationship themselves. We find and audit the manufacturer, run the RFQ, control the quality and manage the freight, then hand you a supply chain that works.

What the service covers

๐Ÿ”Ž

Supplier sourcing & vetting

We identify, qualify and audit manufacturers in India and other low-cost countries matched to your technical specification, capacity and compliance needs.

๐Ÿ“

RFQ & technical management

We translate your drawings, tolerances and material specifications into clear RFQs, run competitive bids and manage sampling and first-article approval.

๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ

Quality control & inspection

Factory audits, in-process checks and inspection to an agreed plan, with reports and material certificates. On larger runs such as hardware we inspect by lot.

๐Ÿšข

Logistics & freight

Export documentation, customs, consolidation and door-to-door freight by sea or air, landed and delivered to your facility.

๐Ÿ”—

Full supply-chain management

Ongoing vendor management, forecasting, inventory buffering and reorder handling for recurring components and bills of material.

๐Ÿ’ก

How an engagement runs

  1. 01

    Scope & spend review

We look at the parts you want to move, current pricing and annual volumes, and tell you which ones are worth pursuing and which are not.

  2. 02

    Supplier search & audit

We shortlist manufacturers against your technical spec, then audit the serious candidates on site.

  3. 03

    RFQ & negotiation

Competitive bids on your drawings, with pricing broken down so you can see material, process and margin.

  4. 04

    Sampling & approval

First-article samples, material certificates and dimensional reports, approved by you before any bulk run.

  5. 05

    Production & inspection

In-process checks and pre-dispatch inspection to an agreed plan, with photographic reports.

  6. 06

    Handover or ongoing management

Either we hand you the qualified supplier and step out, or we stay on under a retainer to manage reorders and quality.

Common questions

How is this different from just buying parts from you?

When you buy parts from us, we own the supplier relationship and invoice you one landed price. Under the consultancy you own it. Buyers choose the consultancy when the volume is large enough that they want the margin themselves.

Who owns the supplier relationship?

You do. The supplier contracts directly with you, and we are transparent about factory pricing so you can see exactly what you pay and what our fee is.

How long does it take to qualify a new supplier?

Typically eight to sixteen weeks from drawings to an approved first article, longer where casting patterns or forging dies are needed. We give you a realistic programme before you commit.

What if the parts arrive faulty?

Inspection happens before dispatch rather than after arrival, which is the point of the service. Where a defect still gets through, we manage the claim with the manufacturer, including rework, replacement or credit.

Do you work with countries other than India?

India is where our audited network is deepest and where ECTA gives an Australian buyer a duty advantage. We can look at other manufacturing regions where the part suits them better.
